Meeting #11
James, Christina, and Ben put finished the changes and tested out the robot. The results of this test will be kept secret from the general public, but James didn't kill Ben so some good must have come from it.
Meeting #10
James and Ben worked on completing the robot more on monday night. James took the robot and parts home.
Meeting #9
Only Christina, Ben, and Stephanie were at this meeting. We decided that we had many functioning parts but, as they had been built separatly with no thought as to compatiblity, they did not all work together as well as they should. We majorly redesigned the chaisis and modified stuff to work together smoothly. Ben took the robot and parts home to finish the change.
Meeting #8ish, I think.
Lasting from Friday night to 4 PM the next day, we worked feverishly* on our robot. The next, exciting improvements on the 'bot include:
- A chain driven sweeper!
- A slightly modified chassis!
- A rather light ball carrier!
- Part of the ball dumping thingie!
(*) Most of the time. Legends say that some people did, anyway.
Another site update
Pbwiki doubled our storage space again. 40 mb. Not bad.
Meeting #6 Sat 11th
- We now have an official Vex battery kit.
James, who had been working all week on the drive train, suddenly came down with the flu halfway though the meeting. As of such, he does not remember much of what happened. However, when he snapped out of it and fell downstairs several hours later, he could not believe his eyes. Like magic, a sweeper and ball carrier had been bolted on to his drive train. Until further evidence presents itself, he suspects elves.
(Could a slightly more informed person fill in the details here?)
Site update
We now have 10 extra mb for photos and such. Yay. :-)
Meeting #5 Sat 4th
Jeremiah brought tons of parts with him. It was sorted.
Stratagy was changed. We will be small, light and fast. Some stuff was scrapped/rebuilt accourdingly.
James got parts. Omniwheels, Programming Module and an Optical Sensor.
Meeting #4 Sat 28st
More putting of stuff together. Add stuff to this post James.
No, I won't. So there. -James
Meeting #3 Sat 21st
Almost everyone present had stayed up all night. Very random and mostly unusable ideas resulted. On the plus side, we actually started putting stuff together. Thus, we have a much better idea of how our ball crate won't work.
Meeting #2: Sat 14
Brainstorming. Lightning struck Ben. There were no survivors.
Meeting #1: Mon 9th
We decided upon the next meeting time & team member roles.
